“ Health bath ” in Grotta (cave)
Immersed in a typical Tuscan landscape at the foot of the hills of Monsummano, Grotta is surrounded by a secular park. The centennial Spa building, where the entrance to the Grotta and all Thermal and aesthetic programmes start, can be reached directly from the hotel or throught the park. Grotta is a natural paradise where the millennial Grotta enwraps each guest in a healthy detoxifying sauna, a ritual that helps to regenerate the body and regain equilibrium and well-being.
Starting from the entrance throught to the deepest part of the Grotta, three different zones are crossed each one increasing in heat, which tradition has named Paradise, Purgatory and Hell.
Limbo has a picturesque lake, the water of which maintain a constant temperature, both in winter and summer, of 36°C. Even the temperature of the air undergoes very little change over the season, ranging from 31°C in the first cavity to a maximum 34°C in the Hell, with an approximate 100% humidity.
The atmospheric pressare is constant and the same as outside, in all parts of the Grotta. An unexplained, natural mechanism guarantees a constant and efficient change of air, making the stay in the Grotta a plesant one, even with the profuse perspiration induced by the high level of humidity, rather than by the temperature.
The steam of the rich thermal waters generates a natural “bath of health” which detoxifies the organism for an overall sense of well-being.

skin. Advisable for osteo-articular pathologies and for hyperuricemia.
Aqua gym, soft gymnastics in the thermal pool
Movement in thermal water improves circulation, strengthens
muscle fibre and improves elasticity of the lower limbs.
Ozonised thermal bath with underwater massage
Relaxing and revitalising bath in single tub with hydromassage. The properties of the thermal water at 35°C combined with those of the ozone form a synergy directed towards stimulating microcirculation and cellula metabolism.
Beauty face
In this treatment thermal mud is used as an excellent transmitter of
mineral salts for a more luminous and toned skin.
